What work is required pre-training?

Before the training you will take your Gallup StrengthsFinder assessment and will receive a de-brief on your results with a Gallup certified Strengths coach. This will give you a comprehensive understanding of your natural talents and set the foundation for the work you will do in the training on self awareness and leadership styles.

What is the improvement project?

Your improvement project is something you will begin during the training and continue to work on afterwards. It should be a project related to your business that will bring significant gains in a business area. Past attendees have done projects in strategy development, marketing, process improvement and HR strategy. You define the nature and scope of your project with help from the programme coaches.

You will be allocated a dedicated coach to help you select a suitable improvement project that will enhance your leadership and management capabilities whilst enabling you to make a significant impact on your organisation.

chartered management institute

The CMI mission is to increase the number and standard of professionally qualified managers and leaders by bringing consistent excellence to management and leadership.

By tackling the 'accidental manager' - people who excel in their core function such as sales, IT or finance, and are then promoted as managers but left untrained and unsupported - the CMI is raising the standards and practices of management and leadership up to those of the other professions.
